Mayor’s Giving Tree Toy Drive Appeal
Gladstone Centre Plaza is once again proud to partner with Gladstone Regional Council and The Salvation Army for the annual Mayor’s Giving Tree appeal, a heartfelt initiative that brings joy to children and families in need across our region during the festive season.
Each year, the Mayor’s Giving Tree invites residents to donate new, unwrapped toys and gifts suitable for children and teenagers. These donations are collected and distributed by The Salvation Army to ensure that every child experiences the magic of Christmas, regardless of their circumstances.
How You Can Help
Everyone is encouraged to drop off donations at designated Giving Tree location outside Big W. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
Donation Guidelines:
– Gifts must be new and unwrapped.
– Suitable for children and teens aged 0–17.
– Please avoid toy weapons or items that require batteries.
Collection Period
Donations will be accepted from 1 December to 24 December. Early contributions are appreciated to allow time for sorting and distribution.
Why It Matters
The Mayor’s Giving Tree is more than a toy drive, it’s a symbol of community spirit, compassion, and hope. With your support, we can help brighten the holidays for hundreds of local families who may be facing financial hardship.
Join us in making this Christmas a little brighter for those who need it most.
